Scrapkit of choice - I used the PTU kit “Madame Midnight” by Grunge and Glitter Scraps. You can purchase this kit at Stargazer Scraps or Digital Chaos.
Scraps needed: 3 papers, frame, candle, moon, and flowers
Tube or Image of choice – I am using a gorgeous tube from Zindy Nielsen, http://zindy-zone.dk/ Anyone wishing to use this tube must first purchase a license from the ZindyZone Shop website. The name of the tube I used is “Satin Dreams.”
Font of choice – I am using Alex Brush, you may use any font you like.
Mask of choice – I am using Vix Mask_205, you can download it from her site - http://www.freewebs.com/vixpsp/masks.htm. Scroll down to the sets added June 12th, 2008, and mask205 is in the first set.
Filter – Mura’s Meister: Copies. You can get the Mura’s filter here: http://www.geocities.com/murakuma/mmplugins.html
Outside tube – Flame tubes supplied by Corel / PSP. If you don’t have these, visit Corel’s tube area, and download the Halloween tube pack.

This tutorial is written using PSP X2, but should be easy to do on other versions. It is written assuming you have a general working knowledge of PSP.
As we go along, we will be working from the bottom of the tag towards the top. Sometimes it may look odd, you may paste a paper right over the top of all your work, but don’t worry – it will come together in the end :) Each time you paste a new layer, it should be your new top layer.
First, open a new canvas 500 x 500.
Copy and paste paper 2 as a new layer.
Open star 2 – resize 25%.
Copy and paste star 2 as a new layer. Apply Mura’s Filter Meister:Copies, using the settings below.
**Note – if you don’t like the arrangement of the stars, choose Random from the drop down box. Each time you “re-choose” Random, you get a different random placement of stars. ;)
Change the blend mode of your star layer to either Overlay or Soft Light. Save your progress.
Copy and paste the moon as a new layer, arranging it to the top, right of your tag.
Add a drop shadow of choice. I used 0, 3, 80, 8, color black. Save.
Open flowerbranch1. Resize 75%. Copy and paste onto your canvas as a new layer.
Free rotate the flower branch, 25 degrees to the left. (CTRL+R)
Arrange the flower branch at the top, left of your tag.
Duplicate the flower branch layer.
On your duplicate layer, Image>Mirror, Image>Flip. (or CTRL+M, CTRL+I).
Add a drop shadow of choice to each flower branch. I used 0, 3, 80, 8, color black. Save.
Open paper 11, copy and paste as a new layer.
Open paper 17, copy and paste as a new layer.
Apply Vix Mask_205, using the settings below. (Layers>Load/Save Mask>Load Mask From Disk)

On your layers palette, right click on the Mask Layer. Choose Merge>Merge Group. Save your progress.
Merge the Masked layer down onto your paper 11 layer.
Open frame5, copy and paste as a new layer.
Open your tube. Duplicate it and close the original. If you are using the same tube as me, resize it by 85%. Copy and paste it as a new layer.
Duplicate your tube layer. Drag one tube layer below your frame. You should have one tube above and one tube below your frame layer.
Using your magic wand tool (tolerance and feather set to 0, mode set to add, match mode set to none), click anywhere outside of your frame.
Selections>Modify>Expand by 11 pixels.
Activate your merged mask/paper layer and hit the Delete key on your keyboard.
Activate your BOTTOM most tube layer (the one below the frame), and hit the Delete key.
Selections>None (CTRL+D). Save.
On your top tube layer (the one above the frame), erase the portion of the tube that hangs over the bottom of the frame. See my sample tag for reference. Save.
Right-click on the top tube layer, choose Merge>Merge Down, to merge it with the frame layer. Repeat, so that your 2 tube layers and your frame layer are all merged together. Save.
Apply a drop shadow to this merged layer. I used 0, 3, 80, 8, color black.
Open candle 1, resize 50%. Apply Effects>Photo Effects>Black and White Film (use default settings).
Copy and paste it onto your canvas as a new layer. Move it down below your frame layer, arrange how you like.
Apply a drop shadow to your candle. I used 4, 4, 50, 8, color black. Save.
Add a new layer above your candle layer.
Open your tube tool, and select the flame tubes. Set your tube toolbar to the settings below.

Click on your new blank layer one time. If you like that flame, continue to the next step. If not, CTRL+Z to undo it, and click again. Continue until you get one you like.
Arrange the flame where you like it, and apply Effects>Photo Effects>Black and White Film (change the Brightness setting to -100). Repeat to make the flame darker. Save.
If you are going to resize the tag, do so now BEFORE you add your copyright info.
Add your copyright info/license number/tagger’s mark. Save.
Add your name or other text, save as .png file, and you are done!
