Scrapkit – This tutorial uses a FREE scrapkit from Ivy’s Inspirations. The pieces needed for this tutorial are included with my supplies. You can get the full kit on her blog - http://ivysinspirations.blogspot.com/2009/04/twilight-tagger-kit.html
Tube of choice – Artwork used in this tutorial is ©David Desbois. You will need to write him to get permission to use his work, unless you are in a group that already has it. You can view his gallery here: http://daviddeb.deviantart.com/ and he has some cool stuff up for sale on Ebay, here: http://stores.ebay.com/Art4-All08_W0QQsspagenameZL2222QQtZkm
The images I used are HERE and HERE
Filter – Xero Greyscaler & SoftMood – the Xero filters are FREE and can be found here: http://www.xero-graphics.co.uk/freeware.htm. You will need set 1 and set 2.
Font of choice – I used “Be Safe” aka “Camilla”
Optional – Eye Candy – I used Gradient Glow for text.
All links and supplies shared with permission.
You will need a good working knowledge of PSP to complete this tutorial. This tutorial was written using version X2.
Open a new canvas – 600 x 600, transparent.
Copy and paste the paper as a new layer.
Copy and paste your frame (not the film strip) as a new layer above the paper layer. Save.
Free rotate the frame 90 degrees to the right. (CTRL+R)
Resize the frame by 85% (Shift+S). (Be sure you resize only the frame layer. Under Advance Settings, be sure “Resize all layers” is unchecked, and “Lock aspect ratios” is checked.) Save.
While still on your frame layer, activate your Pick tool (the little arrow). At the top of the screen you should see your pick tool toolbar. If you don’t see the toolbar like the one below, hit your F4 key. Change your “X Position” to 81 and your “Y Position” to 15.

Copy and paste your film strip as a new layer. It should be your top layer. Save.
Resize the film strip by 80%.
Apply Xero: Greyscaler. Set Levels to 255, Brightness & Contrast to 20. Save.
Free rotate the film strip 80 degrees to the right.
Change the X and Y position of the film strip to X – 67, Y – 293. Save.
Copy and paste THIS IMAGE and move it below your frame layer.
Change the X and Y position of the image to X – 71, Y - -227 (that’s NEGATIVE 227)
Crop your image to remove any excess that is outside of the canvas. You can specify the crop area to be the full 600x600 (see below).

Activate your magic wand tool. Mode set to “Add” and Match Mode set to None.
Activate your frame layer.
With your magic wand tool, click inside the frame. You will need to click inside the lower part of the frame, and the upper part between the ribbon and the frame.
Selections>Modify>Expand by 5
Selections>Invert
Click on your image layer and hit delete. This should remove any portion of the image that is outside of the frame. Selections>None Save.
While still on your image layer, apply Xero: Greyscaler. Set Levels to 255, Brightness & Contrast to 20. Save.
Apply Xero: SoftMood, using the settings below:

Save.
Next open THIS IMAGE
Resize it 25% and then copy and paste it onto your canvas. It should be above the frame, but below the film strip.
Rotate the image 10 degrees to the left. Arrange it so that it fits inside one of the squares of the film strip. Save.
Apply the same Xero filters that you applied to the large image.
Activate your film strip layer and your magic wand tool.
Click inside the square of the film strip (that has your image in it). Selections>Modify>Expand by 3 pixels. Selections>Invert
Click on your small image layer and hit delete. Selections>None. Save.
Repeat these steps for each square of the film strip. You can use the same image for each square, or different images (by the same artist, of course).
Depending on the images you use, you may want to tweak the filter settings – it’s up to you. ;) Save.
Hide all layers except for your film strip layer, and the 4 little images that are inside the film strip. Right click on the film strip layer and choose Merge>Merge Visible. Save.
Apply a drop shadow to this newly merged layer. I used settings 5, -5, 65, 8, color black. Save,
Unhide your other layers.
Apply a drop shadow to your frame layer. I used 3, 3, 75, 8, color black. I then repeated with -3, -3, 75, 8, color black. Save.
Right click on your frame layer and choose Merge>Merge Down. (Be sure that your image layer is directly below your frame layer, so that you are merging the frame down onto the image.) Save.
Now, add your accents of choice. I added the chess pieces to the bottom left of the frame, and one feather to the bottom right. I have included the feathers on separate layers, and as a group on one layer.
For the black chess piece, I resized 65% and placed it at X – 50, Y – 225. The white piece I resized 55% and placed at X – 112, Y – 327. Drop shadow on each piece, I used settings 0, -3, 55, 8, color black. Save.
For the feather, I used one of the single feathers, at full size, and placed it at X - 435, Y – 225. Drop shadow 0, 3, 55, 8, color black. Save.
Crop or resize to your desired size.
Add your copyright info and tagger’s mark (if you use one). Your tag is never finished until you add your copyright info ;)
Add your name or other text. Optional - Add a gradient glow to make it stand out more. Drop shadow 2, 3, 55, 6, color black.
Save as .png file and you are done!
